Industrial Application of SIMS
Workshop
Mixer for Students sponsored by NSERC
Thursday, September 17, 2009

Many of you may wonder what sort of positions one can obtain with your SIMS/surface science training.  Do you want to follow an academic or industrial route?

On Thursday, there will be a workshop dedicated to industrial application of SIMS, including invited and contributed talks followed by a panel discussion where you can ask questions. Networking with both industry and academics will continue at the Thursday poster session.

This will be followed at 6 p.m. by a couple of brief talks from both academia and industry directed to your concerns.

Starting at 8 p.m., there will be an evening mixer at Harbord House, a cozy bar and gourmet restaurant near U. of T. campus. Here discussions can continue or you can relax with good food. Appetizers (more than a meal!) will be provided as will a cash bar. If you are still hungry you can get great dinners there as well.
